W & A's Top 10 Aussie Moments... and a few really bad ones to boot.
Wozz & I Spent about 4 months in Palma de Mallorca Spain. We were
still kind of
working on yachts but were land based for the winter. We rented a
little apartment in the old town just a block from the plaza de mayor
(which is a large center/meeting area in the old town of Palma).
As glamorous as it looks yachting is basically being in gaol, with the looming threat of drowning.
In contrast, if I could borrow the words of Emerson:
"Aboard a boat there is no knowledge that is not valuable - In this
little balloon of ours, so far from the human family and their sages and
colleges and manufactories, every accomplishment, every nature or
acquired talent, every piece of information is at some time in request"
Now what tour of Oz would be complete with out allowing one self to
become completely lost amongst the hills of the Northern Rivers
District and the our local coffee growers that reside with in.
Talk about life in a fish bowl.....
Attending Newcastle's Farmers Market gives an artisan the notion of what an uninspiring piece of art at the Louvre Paris might feel like.
This past week we were on the road in the
hunter valley to pick up some retailers and couldn’t resist to do some wine
tasting (when in Rome)
Paris has been referred to as the city of lights…the city of love…the
most romantic place on earth…and why not. Because it is, even if it
rains every single day of your 10 day visit.
