Spicy Orange Beef with Green Beans Stir Fry
Silky melt in your mouth beef stir fried with green beans in a spicy orange beef sauce made with our Sweet Chili Orange Sesame Sauce. This Chinese style spicy beef and green beans stir fry is a delicious easy weeknight meal and it's way better and healthier than take-out! Just cook up some rice and serve over top.
Have you ever noticed how soft and tender the beef is when you go out to a Chinese restaurant? To get that soft melt in your mouth beef texture you simply sprinkle a little baking soda on your beef and let sit for 20 minutes. Then rinse. The results are amazing.
Spicy Orange Beef with Green Beans Stir Fry
Ingredients:
Tenderizing Agent:
1 Tbs Baking Soda
Marinade:
12 ounces flank steak thinly sliced
1 Tbs Soy Sauce
1 Tbs Corn Starch
2 Tbs Water
Sauce:
1/2 Cup Wozz! Sweet Chili Orange Sesame Sauce
1/2 Cup Beef Stock
Stir Fry:
1/2 Tbs Sesame Oil
2 Tbs Vegetable Oil
6 ounces Green Beans (cut in 1/2 if desired) (i used 1/2 bag of washed and trimmed green beans)
1 Red Chili (sliced thinly at an angle) *if desired for extra spicy heat
1/4 cup orange peel (cut into slivers)
Rice:
Jasmine Rice - cook rice according to package directions
Method:
Thinly slice beef and add to bowl. Sprinkle with baking soda and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse well with water and pat dry.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together marinade ingredients and add sliced beef. Set aside to marinate.
In a bowl combine Sweet Chili Orange Sesame Sauce and beef stock and set aside
Heat up your skillet on medium high heat and add your vegetable oil and sesame oil. When oil is nice and hot, add your meat and stir fry until nice and browned on each side.
Add green beans. Stir fry for a minute.
Stir in sweet chili orange sesame sauce and beef stock mixture and simmer for approximately 3 minutes. Add orange peel and chili. Cook for an additional minute until sauce is nicely thickened.
*if you want your sauce even thicker - combine 1 tbs cornstarch with 2 Tbs water and add to stir fry, simmer for another minute.
Serve over rice.
