Sugared & Spiced Nuts

Glistening shimmery goodness.  The aroma of cinnamon & spice will fill your home while these bake in the oven.  These sugared and spiced nuts are the perfect holiday treat and great for gift giving, holiday salads and snacking.

 

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp Water

1 Egg White

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp allspice

3/4 cup of pecans

3/4 cup of walnuts (halves)

 

Method:

Preheat oven to 300 F

Whisk together egg white and 1/2 tsp water until good & frothy

In a zip lock bag mix sugar, salt, cinnamon and allspice

Coat nuts in egg/water mixture and remove with slotted spoon or strainer spoon

Place coated nuts in bag with sugar/salt/spice mixture and shake

Once evenly coated, remove from bag and place on baking sheet lined with no stick paper/parchment paper

Bake 30-35 minutes until nice and golden
