Lemon Thyme Margaritas
Today is Cinco De Mayo, so of course we have to drink margaritas. Any excuse for a good margarita. This is a go-to recipe for me and I actually make a simplified version of it on a weeknight at home - just tequila, lemon thyme vinegar cocktail mixer, a splash of lemon or lime seltzer and a squeeze of lime but for today, Cinco De Mayo, I am making it a bit more traditional. These taste just like a traditional margarita with an oomphed up lemon thyme twist, a perfect cocktail recipe for Spring.
Lemon Thyme Margarita (makes 2 margaritas (about 4 oz each))
Ingredients:
3 ounces Wozz! Lemon Thyme Vinegar and Cocktail Mixer
Juice of 1 lime
4 ounces of Tequila
1 ounce Cointreau (triple sec)
Lemon slices, fresh thyme and salt rim garnish if desired.
Method:
In a cocktail shaker, add crushed ice and Wozz! Lemon Thyme Vinegar, Juice of 1 Lime, 4 ounces of tequila (4 shots of tequila) and 1 ounce of Cointreau. Shake.
Rim glasses with salt (I also added a little lemon zest and lime zest to the salt)
Strain into glasses. Garnish with fresh lemon slice and thyme if desired.
Serve. Cheers!
