Party Meatballs with Date and Orange Glaze
These party meatballs are baked and then pan glazed with our date and orange chutney. The results are hearty meatballs with a sweet caramelized date and fresh orange flavor with a hint of cayenne just to give a warm tingle to your palate. The orange rinds in the chutney give a great contrast to the sauce and with the flavors reminiscent of a fruit cake, these meatballs are fabulous for a Christmas or Holiday gathering.
Party Meatballs with Date and Candied Orange Glaze
Ingredients for Meatballs:
1/2 Pound Ground Hamburg
1/2 Pound Ground Pork
1/4 tsp Cayenne
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Allspice
1/3 cup Bread Crumbs
1/2 tsp Salt
Ingredients for Date and Orange Sauce:
1 Jar Wozz! Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney
1 Cup Orange Juice
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
In a large mixing bowl combine hamburg, pork, egg, breadcrumbs, allspice, garlic powder and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Form meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
In a large saucepan, on medium heat, add 1 cup of orange juice and 1 jar of Wozz! Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney. Cook and stir until sauce combines and thickens up, approximately 3-5 minutes. Toss in your meatballs and coat well.
