Crostini with Cherries and Goats Cheese

Cherries and cheese is the best and this is the easiest appetizer to make for a party or get together.  Simple crostini with creamy goats cheese topped with our Sour Cherry Spiced Wine Jam Compote.

Crostini with Cherries and Goats Cheese


French Baguette - sliced into 1/2 inch thick slices
Olive Oil
Salt Pepper
Goat Cheese - I used Vermont Creamery Spreadable Goats Cheese (if you have regular goats cheese and want to make it a bit more spreadable just whip it together with a little splash of milk) 
Cracked Black Pepper
Honey (to drizzle over if desired)
Wozz! Sour Cherry Spiced Wine Fruit Compote


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Brush both sides of baguette slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper, place crostini on baking sheet and bake for approximately 15 minutes or just until golden brown turning once.  Careful not to burn.

Once crostini is nice and golden, remove from oven and top with goats cheese, Wozz! Sour Cherry Spiced Wine Jam Compote, a drizzle of honey (if desired) and cracked black pepper.
