Grapefruit Honey Tequila Paloma
These Grapefruit Honey Tequila Paloma's are the perfect cocktail to accompany all your Mexican dishes and also a refreshing cocktail to have on a warm spring or summer's day. We used our Grapefruit Juniper Honey Vinegar Shrub Mixer in this recipe with fresh lime, fresh grapefruit, tequila and topped it off with some Lemon Lime seltzer water.
Grapefruit Honey Tequila Paloma ~ Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 Grapefruit (1/2 for juicing and cut other half into wedges or rounds for garnish)
1 lime (1/2 for juicing and cut other half into wedges for garnish)
4 Ounces (Equal to 4 Shots = 120 mL) Tequila - I used Hornitos Brand
1/2 can Lemon Lime Seltzer Water
3 Ounces (Equal to 3 Shots=90 mL) Wozz! Grapefruit Juniper Honey Vinegar/Shrub Cocktail Mixer
2 Tbs Salt mixed with a little bit of zested lime rind for rimming glass
Method:
On a plate, add salt and zest the 1/2 of lime that you will use for juice. Mix zest with salt and set aside for rimming your glasses.
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, top with 4 shots tequila (120 ML), 3 Shots of Wozz! Grapefruit Juniper Honey Vinegar (90 mL), the juice of 1/2 squeezed lime and juice off 1/2 squeezed grapefruit. Shake.
Rim your glasses with salt and zested lime mixture (I used stemless wine glasses). Fill 1/2 of each glass with crushed ice. Strain 1/2 the shaker liquid into one glass and the remaining liquid into your other glass. Top with lemon lime seltzer water. Stir gently. Garnish with a lime wedge or round and a grapefruit wedge.
Cheers!
