Hot Chai Rum Toddy Cocktail

There is nothing like a hot cocktail like this on a cold winter's night. It's a holiday favorite in our house, hot chai tea, spiced rum, milk and our delectable Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce mixed in. It's hot, spiced, creamy and buttery...and that shot of rum is just what the doctor ordered! ;) You can also make this without the rum if you prefer (it's equally delicious)
Hot Chai Rum Toddy Cocktail or Mocktail (makes 2 servings)
Cinnamon Sticks 2
Cardamon Pods 6
Star Anise 2
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Whole Milk
Dark Spiced Rum
Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce
In a small pot on the stove top, add water, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cardamon pods, bring to a simmer. Add 2 teabags of chai tea, let steep for 10 minutes. Pass water through strainer, removing tea bags and spices and return to pot.
Add 1 Cup Milk and add 1/3 cup Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce, stir and cook on low heat until rum toddy is dissolved and milk is hot.
Add a thick drizzle off the end of a spoon of the rum toddy onto inside of glass. Add 1 shot of dark spiced rum and add your spiced toddy milk.
Top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise. Serve hot.
