Ham and Cheese Sliders with Southern Mustard

These ham and cheese baked sliders are a perfect party dish for easy holiday or game day entertaining.  With Easter coming up, I thought this would be a fun recipe to try and great for Easter Sunday if you are not having the traditional ham dinner, maybe just keeping it simple and staying home.  I am not going to lie, these are a bit buttery and decadent but they are delicious and super easy to make.

Ham and Cheese Sliders with Southern Mustard Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound Sliced Deli Ham
1/2 pound Swiss Cheese Slices
1 package Kings Sweet Hawaiian Rolls (12 rolls to a package)
3/4 Stick Butter (melted)
Wozz! Southern Style Rustic Mustard (approximately 2-3 Tablespoons to spread onto rolls and an additional 1 Tablespoons for butter mixture)
1 1/2 Tablespoons poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp minced dried garlic chips
pinch of salt and pepper

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, 1 heaping Tablespoon of Wozz! Southern Style Mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, minced dried garlic chips, pinch of salt and pepper.  Set aside.

Spray and 11 x7 baking dish with cooking spray (you can also use a 9x13 baking dish if that is what you have).

Do not pull the Hawaiian rolls apart, simply cut the rolls in half using a serrated knife, just like you would cut a bagel in half.  Put the bottom half slab of the rolls into the baking dish cut side up.

Spread Wozz! Southern Style Rustic Mustard onto the rolls, just a light covering.  I used the back end of a spoon to slather the mustard onto the rolls.  Then evenly layer with 1/2 of your ham slices then swiss cheese and then the remaining ham.  Place the top slab of your rolls on top.

Pour your butter mixture over the top of the rolls, you can used a brush to evenly disperse it over the top of the rolls, some of the liquid will pool at the bottom of the rolls and along the edges.

Let the rolls sit for 15 to 20 minutes before cooking.  If the butter is pooling too much in the corners where each roll is connected (like in the 4 corners area, you can gently just poke a knife down the center of 4 corners area to let the butter soak in).

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 18-20 minutes.  Remove from foil and bake an additional 3-5 minutes.  **oven temperatures vary so check your rolls, make sure not to burn tops of rolls, cook until golden brown on top and cheese is melted.

Remove rolls from oven, slice and serve warm.

Enjoy!
