Balsamic Fig Caprese BLT Club Sandwich {with avocado}
Buttery toasted sourdough layered high with our Balsamic Fig Mostarda Spread, Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil, Crispy Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado and lots of Mayo. I just picked my first juicy ripened beefsteak tomato out of the garden along with a bunch of fresh basil so this sandwich is perfect for the season plus its 97 degrees out today and our AC is not working that well so this is lunch and leftovers for dinner. The toasted sourdough holds up well to the juicy tomato slices, but if you would rather use a hearty white toasted (as in a traditional BLT than that would be delicious as well). Also we made a triple decker sandwich but a regular sandwich is more than enough!
Balsamic Fig Caprese BLT Sandwich {with avocado}
Ingredients:
Sourdough bread thinly sliced (buttered and toasted in fry pan)
Fresh Mozzarella sliced
Fresh Tomato sliced
Fresh Avocado sliced
Fresh Basil Leaves
Lettuce
Thick Cut Bacon (crisped in pan or in oven - however you like to cook your bacon)
Mayonnaise

Method:
Spread Wozz! Balsamic Fig Mostarda Spread on toasted sourdough, top with sliced tomato and mozzarella slices, add basil leaves, another slice of toasted sourdough, topped with sliced avocado, crispy bacon, lettuce and spread a good thick layer of mayonnaise on the top slice of toasted sourdough.
