Stuffing with Dates, Orange, Pecans and Herbs

This easy stuffing recipe gets a little holiday flair with the addition of our Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney, pecans and fresh herbs.  We simply use store bought bread stuffing mix, follow the package directions and add 3/4 cup of Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney to the mix along with 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. 


1 package of stuffing mix (we use pepperidge farm or arnold)
2 cups Chicken Stock
4 Tbs Butter (1/2 Stick) 
2 Stalks Celery Coarsely Chopped
1 Large Onion Diced
3/4 cup Wozz! Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney  (you can add more or less as desired to your taste)
1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
2 Tbs Fresh Chopped Herbs (we use a combination of fresh rosemary, thyme, sage and oregano) 


Heat the oven to 350° F.

Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.  Add the celery and onion and cook for 5 minutes or until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.  Add chopped pecans and cook for additional 2 minutes. 

Add broth to the saucepan and heat to a boil.  Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the stuffing and mix lightly.  Add your fresh herbs. Fold in Wozz! Sticky Date Candied Orange Chutney.  Spoon the stuffing mixture into a greased 2 quart baking dish.  Cover the baking dish.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the stuffing mixture is hot. 

*If you want your stuffing a little crunchy, bake uncovered.
* I garnished my stuffing with a little sprinkle of fresh herbs
