Lamb Burgers with Beet Yogurt Sauce

Yum! I'm making this.

Our Indian Spiced Beet Spread makes a delicious accompaniment to burgers; beef or lamb. In Australia, it is tradition to put "beetroot" on a burger along with pineapple and a fried egg - kind of makes our American hamburgers look a bit under-rated.  Our Indian Spiced Beet Spread simply mixed with Greek yogurt makes a Tzatziki style sauce that is so delicious spooned over lamb.  You must try it.  It's super easy and a good way to just have something different during the summer grilling season.

Lamb Burgers with Beet Yogurt Sauce

Lamb Burger Ingredients:

Ground Lamb 1 lb
Salt & Pepper
2 tsp Ras El Hanout or Garam Masala Spice Blend (you can spice your lamb burger however you want, you can mix together a bit of cumin, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon and salt and pepper if you don't have a premixed blend of Ras El Hanout or Garam Masala).

Beet Yogurt Sauce Ingredients:

Wozz! Indian Spiced Beet Spread 1/3 cup
Greek Yogurt 1/3 cup

Fresh Arugula
Burger Buns

To make Beet Yogurt Sauce:
Mix together Greek yogurt and Wozz! Indian Spiced Beet Spread.  Set aside.

To make Lamb Burgers:

Mix together lamb burger ingredients and form into patties.  Oil up the grill, get your grill up to a medium to high heat and grill for approximately 4 minutes on each side.  (grill time depends on how you like your lamb cooked and the thickness of the patties).

Toast your hamburg buns if desired (just for a minute or so on the grill).

Serve lamb burger with beet yogurt sauce spooned on top with fresh arugula and sliced avocado.
