Ice Cream Sundae with Caramelized Bananas and Rum Toddy Toffee Sauce
Ice Cream Sundae with Caramelized Bananas and Rum Toddy Toffee Sauce
Oh this recipe! Easy, indulgent, delicious. Perfect for a movie night or a nice summer's day. Pan fried caramelized bananas are spooned over scoops of caramel ice cream drizzled with our Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce and finished with toasted walnuts. Feel free to swap out caramel ice cream for vanilla or whatever ice cream is your favorite. Add whip cream and a cherry to make it extra special and nostalgic.
Ingredients:
Caramel Ice Cream
Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce
1 Banana per person (choose bananas that are yellow and firm - not over ripe or they may get too soft)
4 Tbs Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Non Stick Cooking Spray
Walnuts (toast in pan)
Method:
Slice bananas on an angle about 1/2 inch wide pieces. Add the sugar and cinnamon to a plate. Toss sliced banana pieces with sugar and cinnamon.
In a large skillet on medium high heat, spray nonstick cooking spray, add bananas and cook on each side until caramelized - about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove while hot, because otherwise they will stick to the pan.
Serve the bananas immediately over ice cream with a good drizzle of Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Sauce and toasted walnuts! Enjoy.
Add whip cream and a cherry if desired.
