Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles
If you have ever had Sichuan (Szechuan) Dan Dan noodles, you know how incredibly addictive they are. Chinese noodles topped with ground pork and tossed in a spicy aromatic, slightly mouth numbing chili sauce is just bliss. Our Sichuan Chili Garlic Dan Dan Sauce makes this incredible dish so easy to make! 4 ingredients is all you need - Chinese dried noodles (we used Blue Dragon brand of Cantonese dried egg noodles), ground pork, chopped scallions and this sauce. You have to try this one - it's like a night of Chinese street food at home.
Sichuan (Szechuan) Dan Dan Noodles
Ingredients:
1.5 Ground Pork
2 bunches Spring Onion (cut into inch long lengths)
1 packet (10 ounces) Dried Chinese Noodles - We used Cantonese Dried Egg Noodles
Wozz! Sichuan Chili Garlic Dan Dan Sauce
1 Tbs Sesame Oil
Fried Onions for garnish (optional)
Method:
On the stovetop, bring a large pot of water with a tight fitting lid to a boil.
On high heat, add oil to a large thick bottom skillet until oil shimmers.
Brown off the pork.
Add noodles to boiling water and cook to package recommendations (shave off 1 minute of cooking time as the noodles will continue cooking in the sauce)
While the noodles cook, add the bottom whites of the spring onions along with 1/2 bottle of Wozz! Sichuan Chili Garlic Dan Dan Sauce to the sizzling pork. Continue cooking for one minute.
Strain the noodles and add to the pork/sauce mixture. Add the remaining green spring onion tops and another 1/4 bottle of Wozz! Sichuan Dan Dan Sauce to help season the noodles.
Combine well and serve immediately.
Garnish with fried onions if desired. Leave the remaining Wozz! sauce on the table for anyone who wants to add a little more to their plate.
