Pancakes with Rum Sauce

Nothing says Happy Saturday Morning like these pancakes that are topped with a dollop of our White Chocolate Banana Bread Dessert Spread and then drizzled with our Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce.   Bananas and rum toffee sauce?  It's a match made in breakfast lovers heaven!  I love the texture of these pancakes as well, fluffy but slightly chewy rather than bready - almost like a cross between a crepe and a pancake.   

Pancakes with Rum Sauce 

Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 large egg
2 Tbs melted butter
1/2 cup half and half
1/2 cup water
pinch of salt

Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Dessert Sauce

Method:

In a large bowl, pass flour and baking powder through a fine mesh sieve into bowl and add a pinch of salt. 
Make a well in the flour and add a cracked egg.
Gradually whisk the egg and the flour mixture until fully combined.
Pour your water and half / half into bowl and whisk until combined.
Put mixture in the fridge and let sit for 15 minutes to rest.
Remove from fridge after rest period and whisk in melted butter.
Grease non stick pan with a little butter.  On medium heat, pour 1/4 cup of batter
and cook pancakes until holes start appearing on the surface and then flip and cook on the other side until slightly browned (approximately 1 minute).

Top hot pancakes with a dollop of Wozz! White Chocolate Banana Bread Dessert Spread and drizzle with Wozz! Rum Toddy Toffee Sauce.  Serve.

Makes approximately 10-12 medium sized pancakes.
