Hot Pepper Jelly Salmon

A simple and delicious recipe for broiled salmon.  Our Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Spread takes most of the work out of this recipe so you basically just marinate the salmon in a little bit of sesame oil mixed with our Thai Hot Pepper Jelly and soy sauce, sear it in a pan to caramelize it and then simply place under the broiler with additional pepper jelly on top and serve with rice.  Really, that is all there is to it!  This salmon recipe is absolutely delicious and it's just so easy to make.  If you are thinking that it may be too spicy, it's not at all, our Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Savory Spread is a sweet and medium spiced chili pepper jelly infused with fresh ginger and garlic and it's a perfect balance - we are all about flavor here at Wozz! - not about ego hot - we want you to taste all the layers of flavor in your food.  There is a nice sweet and medium spicy kick but the tremendous flavor added to the salmon is what makes this dish.

Hot Pepper Jelly Salmon (serves 2)

Ingredients:

2 Skinless Salmon Fillets
Wozz! Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Savory Spread
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tbs Sesame Oil (1 Tbs for marinade and 1 Tbs for searing)
Fresh lime wedges for garnish if desired

How to Make:

In a shallow dish mix together 1 Tbs sesame oil, 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1/4 cup Wozz! Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Savory Spread.  Add salmon fillets and marinate for 20 minutes in fridge. 

Preheat broiler on high heat

In a medium non stick skillet, on medium high heat, add 1 Tbs sesame oil and sear salmon for 2-3 minutes on each side - until nice and browned. 

Carefully remove salmon from skillet and place on parchment lined baking sheet and spoon over top additional Wozz! Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Spread.  Broil for approximately 3 minutes.

Serve with a side of ginger soy fried rice with the remaining jar of Wozz! Thai Hot Pepper Jelly Spread on the table.  Garnish with fresh lime wedges.
